Reviews

This book was about Zaiba and her family going to her school fair with her best friend Poppy. They were having a fun time, but when they went to the baking contest to watch their dad and Zaiba’s brother and compete with others, one of the judges fell ill after tasting one of the cakes they had to bake. Zaiba and Poppy sprang into action meeting Ali (Zaiba's brother) on the way. One of the other contestants was Zaiba’s cousin, Mariam and her mum. Mariam was scared because she did not want to get her mother in jail. The last contestants were Gabrielle and Marco. Gabrielle, Mariam,Poppy, Ali and Zaiba worked together and found out that the poisoner was Marco. My favorite person in the story is Poppy. I would recommend it to people who like mystery books.

I enjoyed the story and loved the plot twists but found Zaiba's remarks on the children being amateurs was quite mean.
