Wayside School Beneath the Cloud of Doom
Louis Sachar, Aleksei Bitskoff
It’s a new year at Wayside School, and Mrs Jewls’s class on the thirtieth floor has a LOT to deal with. First of all, they must prepare to face The Ultimate Test, which involves a fiendishly difficult Spelling Bee, upside-down singing and blindfolded smelling. Meanwhile the paperclips are triple-locked in a safe so no one can access them, Miss Mush is threatening to serve rainbow stew for lunch – and a CLOUD OF DOOM is gathering over the school. It can only mean one thing … the kids at Wayside School are in for their strangest year yet!
From the basement to the thirtieth floor, Wayside is packed with quirky and hilarious characters who are all brought to life in this brand-new instalment of Louis Sachar’s much-loved Wayside School series. With brilliant illustrations throughout, this is an unmissable, irrepressible story of mixed-up mayhem from the bestselling author of Holes.

I thought it was weird and exciting when the umbrella caught the wind and lifted someone into the sky. My favourite character was Jason because of his overreactions to things. I would recommend this to people who like funny stories.

This book was very exciting and I read it very fast as I couldn’t put it down. The name of the characters were Shaira, Dana, Terence, Stephen, Kathy and D.J. My favourite character was Kathy because she is friends with D.J and is very cool.

This book was funny and so I liked reading it . The most entertaining part was when the children were doing the ultimate test , as I wanted to find out if any of them failed the rest and also to see what happened during it , because it was no ordinary test . There was no main character in this book but my favourite character was joy . I would recommend this book to someone who likes stories that are funny and fiction
