I would recommend this book as it is about how even if you have lost someone and think they don't care for you they will be found and they will love and care for you if you do the same to them.

It was a heartwarming story where bob the dog worked with other dogs to save puppies from dying or drowning. Bob’s friend, Ivan the gorilla also got trapped in rubble when a storm came, but they all managed to get out.
