WINNER OF THE 2022 BEST LAUGH OUT LOUD BOOK FOR 9-13-YEAR-OLDS The super funny, heart-warming adventure of three boys, one summer holiday, and a few miracles along the way, from breakout talent, Jenny Pearson, illustrated by award-winning Rob Biddulph. SHORTLISTED FOR THE COSTA CHILDREN'S BOOK AWARD A SUNDAY TIMES CHILDREN'S BOOK OF THE WEEK Freddie Yates likes facts. Just not the one staring him in the face - that his secret plan is not, in fact, secret. Because Freddie's journey wasn't meant to involve Big Trev and the onion-eating competition or the loo-exploding pear-and-potato turnovers. And Freddie definitely didn't expect to end up, with his two best friends, on national television in a supergirl costume. But journeys never take you where you think they will. And for Freddie, that fact might just have to be enough... ""Miracles may or may not happen, although coincidences do, but the laugh-out-loud story is, in the end, heartwarming about all kinds of families."" The Sunday Times ""A big-hearted comic journey about friendship, family, and a miraculously well-timed seagull."" David Solomons, author of My Brother is a Superhero ""This sleuthing-trip-cum-crime-solving spree has all the fizz of Jeremy Strong."" The Observer ""One of the funniest books you'll read this year, with bundles of heart to boot."" Fiona Noble, The Bookseller

My book was fiction and my favourite character is called Freddie. Freddie is my favourite character because he is determined and lots of thing go wrong for him but he never gives up. I would recommend this book to my two best friends because they never give up no matter if it's on a person to a extremely tricky book review.

The Super Miraculous Journey Of Freddie Yates was an enjoyable and funny read. I enjoyed the unpredictability of the plot although some morals and points of view included in the book I disagreed with. My favourite character was Charlie because he was a comic and shameless character.

I recommend this book because its a funny book and a funny miraculous journey and the characters are Ben, Charlie, becky stepmom, and lady gaga. When i saw reading this book i saw the word lady gaga. U learn a lot of word you might heard or not and u pronounced the new words and its god to learn. SO why i recommend it.

I really liked this book as it was adventurous. My favourite character is Freddie's stepfather because even though Freddie is his stepson, he loves him and treats him like his biological son. I would recommend it to other people, especially people who are aged 9-13.

It is super funny read. The disastrous incidents are described in such a hilarious way that you will roll with laughter. But towards the end of the story,it gets really sad as the main character feels lonely. There were interesting facts about the characters in the story. In this fictional story, I liked the character of Ben because he behaves sensibly and settles down his friends in hard situations. I strongly recommend this book to children aged 7yr to 11yrs to enjoy their summer holidays.
