A brilliant book by Janae Marks highlighting the unfairness of racism. Zoe’s father went to prison before she was born for murdering someone and her mother has always said that he is a horrible person. However, when a letter from Marcus (her father) arrives on the day of her twelfth birthday, it comes as a surprise to find that he seems... nice?

I found the book very intresting because I liked how there were so many adventures and tense situations . I couldn't put the book down till I reached the end. My favourite character of the book was Zoe because she was brave and hopeful when times were tough and she kept on trying to find a way to prove her dad's innocense. I would recommend the book to my friends.

It was interesting and emotional. I liked the end where she made her own big version of the Froot Loops cupcakes. It was a very happy ending. I loved it.

This book was was a good book, that is why I I said 4. This book was actually quite factual it was about how people communicate from prison and how you get innocent people out of prison. I liked Marcus the most. I would recommend it to my cousin.

an amazing story. Right from the start I was enthralled. My favourite character was Zoe as like me she loved baking. I would love to work in a bakery. Read it if you love a mystery

I would really recommend to anyone who likes an 'and they lived happily ever after' kind of story. Zoe was very brave doing all the things for her dad.

I thought this book was great, it was sad and funny at the same time. My favourite person was Zoe's Grandma because she was really helpful, kind and protective. I would recommend it for 9-12 year olds.

this is about a girl dad who's dad has been wrongly convicted for murder so she finds his prison address and starts to send him letters in secret until her gran finds out so she begins to call him an put her letters for him in her letterbox than she begins to think he is innocent so begins to investigate find out what happens if you read it if you want to read this
