This is another superb autobiography written for children by Matt and Tom Oldfield. I would recommend this ok for ages 6+. This book goes through the fantastic life of Virgil Van Dijk. This book shows you how much sheer determination Virgil need to get from the Cryuff courts in Breda to the pitches in Liverpool and the most expensive defender in the world.

This interested me because I love reading about different football heroes and how they made it in to a professional team. I like the bit when Van Dijk moves from Southampton to Liverpool because Liverpool is his current club and I liked reading about what changes happened when he got there.

The author told us a lot about Van Dijk and how about his goal was to play in the championship in a real team and he went through 2 teams to play in the Liverpool where his friend Sadio went to train and play for Liverpool but then it was his turn as they needed a new centre back defender. I would recommend this book to someone else because it is very intriguing to know a celebrity started off before they were a famous football player.
