I found this book hard to read because it was quite big. The pages were silvery and colourful which looked pretty. The best bit was when the moon king let starbird go free.

This book was hard for me to read but I read all of it in the end. I liked the part where the moon king let starbird be free. It reminded me of my birds that I have at home but we let them fly around our house. The pages of this book were very pretty and silver

My favourite person was the daughter because she was seeing how starbird was feeling so she let him out.

I liked the illustrations and trying to find the black animals in the dark pages. The pictures on the pages show the habitats where the animals live and then hidden black animals on the next page. Well, they’re black because it’s nighttime.

It is a mystery in the end, but I love the story. It’s so exciting and sad and you can really feel the emotions in the story.

The girl was upset because her father didn’t let the bird go. But her father let the bird go after he realised it would make his daughter happy. I liked the girl the best. Yes I recommend it to my mummy and Jessica.

I liked some parts because the Starbird didn't get caught by the Moon King. All the nice animals understood her, they let her hide from the King. But in one part the King caught her and the little girl, the Moon Kings daughter, was sad and then the Moon King let Starbird go. Starbird was my favourite character because she was really shiny and her song was really beautiful. I don't know if I would recommend it.
