I'd already read the second book in the series.(I only read that one beforehand, because I went to my local library and it really caught my attention). I didn't know where to get the first book, so when I saw it in my school library, I was really excited. It was just as good as the second!

The book was very interesting and a bit funny. I liked Pheobe the most because she played lovely music.

I read pages 1 to 119. I liked the book and I think it is a good book. I think I liked it because it is by Chris Riddel and he is one of me favourite authors. I haven't finished the book so at the moment the Sugar-Spun princess and Phoebe are my favourite characters. I really recommend it because it is an absolutely awesome book

I liked how Chris Riddell introduced the characters well but I think Zam, Phoebe and Bathsheba should have met each other earlier in the story. I liked Budlee Bristletoe because he was a bit clumsy and he was caught by giant-slayers at least ten times and he still escaped. If I had the choice to own either the magical sword, flute or runcible spoon then I'd choose the runcible spoon because I like baking and I think that it is cool to make things you bake turn to life!

Guardians of magic is a story of three very different worlds but yet people struggling with the same problem, proving themselves to others. There is Zam the baker who finds a wooden spoon filled with magic, which is strictly forbidden in his kingdom, and brings food back alive. Then there is phoebe the cellist who doesn't have an ordinary violin but has one that talks. Finally, there is Bathsheba a descendant of a giant slayer who has a very powerful sword. Together they defeat the evil enemies that threaten the existence of the cloud horses and the magical tree

I really like the style of writting. Firstly write about one character, then other and so on and then meet them all together. Yes, I would recommend to everyone who like mystic creatures and magic.

My favourite character is Phoebe Limetree. She can play the cello really well and it's magical. She's part of the Cat Orchestra. She really likes cats and so do I. I would recommend this to my best friend who also plays the cello.

I loved this book. I liked how it had different parts for each character and then at the end they all come together. I love how imaginative it was and how it made you feel like you really were there. Would definitely recommend to anyone 8/9+
