If Newton's got nine lives, he can be a daring dog of danger! Or can he. . .? Meet Newton – the dog who thinks he has nine lives and infinite luck. And if Newton has nine lives, then that means he can do all his favourite things but be MUCH more daring. But what if Newton's got it all wrong and he's not quite as invincible as he thinks he is?

It is really fun because at the start Newton thinks he has 9 lives and at the end Newton thinks he can fly. My favourite character is Newton because he is really fun and poos on a scorpions hill. All the scorpions were at the side looking at the dog - it was funny.

The drawings were rather simplistic but the story was captivating. Newton the dog sees a portable hot dog stall in front of another advertisement and thinks that he has nine lives, so decides to live his life a little more dangerously, gets into various scrapes with his cat friend trying to save him. Great twist at the end once the mistake has been pointed out to him. That he thinks he can fly. Lois loved the story, especially the twist at the end.

A fun story. Nice to discuss what was a good idea/or not. We had a friend round who had a dog; nice to talk about similarities between Newton and our friend's dog.

My favourite character is Newton because he is funny . In the story Newton gets confused with a hot dog van and a sine and thort that it said Hot dogs have nine lives. I liked the middle part of the story because it was funny.
