North Child
Edith Pattou
A beautiful, epic story of destiny, magic and love… Reborn for a new generation of readers.
Rose is an unusual child, a North Child. Rose was born facing north, and the old stories say she will venture far from home and embark on a dangerous journey. Making a pact with an enormous white bear, Rose travels on his back to a mysterious castle that holds a dark enchantment, a darker temptation, and the key to her true destiny…
A spellbinding adventure to curl up with on long winter nights.

Reviews

I thought that Rose (North child) was a nice child but it was sad that she got sent to the castle in the mountain. The book was fiction. Rose and the white bear were my favourite characters. I would recommend this book to my Mum.

This fiction novel is based on an old Danish fairytale but much more conplex and better. It is all about Rose who is named after the wind rose on compasses and maps. It has a long story line of different events including meeting a talking white bear and the Troll Queen. It was full of travelling and adventuring across the North Sea and in the Arctic. I really enjoyed this book and It was inpossible to put down.
