During the holidays, the Star Friends try to discover who summoned the Shades that caused chaos in Westcombe. They notice that the village is unusually quiet – could magic be involved again? The girls need to pull together to solve this mystery before it spirals out of control!

This book is fiction and my favourite character is Maia because her star animal is Bracken the fox and I would reccomend this book to kids aged 7 and 8.

This book is fiction and was very enjoyable. My favourite character was Maia as she was the lead of the star friends and she solves the mystery of the shades who really likes dolls! Maia's star animal is a pussycat which is my favourite animal! I would definitely recommend this book to my friends.

I like this book because there is lots of magic included and talking animals and magic friends, i like the star friends and star animals best, This is a fiction book Yes i would recommend

I really love how the characters rely on each other and their strong friendship to help them deal with magical challenges. I like how they don't assume that the person behind the bad feelings is evil and they help her. I love all the Star Friends, I wish I had one too!

I liked it because the girls found out who was conquering the shades. My favourite character was Maia because she worked out 2 important things 1. Who mystic Maureen was and 2. Who was conquering the shades. It was the same person for both answers. I would recommend it to Hannah because she likes the books too.

It was fiction, and my favourite character would probably be Ionie, but her Star Friend Sorrel the wildcat wasn't my favourite, I preferred Juniper, Lottie's Star Friend. I would recommend it to younger children of 6 year old's to 9 year old's.

I really liked Ionie because near the end it was so funny when she tricked her dad into thinking she was a fortune teller and saying she needed more pocket money. I would recommend it to my friends who like adventure books.
