The Dragon's Breakfast
Vivian French, Marta Kissi
A rollicking fairy-tale adventure from the makers of The Adventures of Alfie Onion, The Cherry Pie Princess andTom & Tallulah and the Witches' Feast. Princess Persephone Stephanie Tiffany Jane (“Pom” for short) HATES being a princess. Her parents have no time for her – especially her dad, the King of Strüggen, who’s busy plotting against the neighbouring kingdom of Thrum. So when a friendly young orphan named Billy appears at the palace, Pom decides to run off with him. She’s after adventure, and knows exactly where she’ll find it: Bullion Island, a tiny patch of land that stands exactly between Strüggen and Thrum. Legend has it that there's pirate treasure hiding in Bullion's sea-caves, guarded by a fearsome dragon – but nobody knows for sure, because no sailor has managed a return trip. But Pom isn’t afraid of dragons … or anything else! ""Vivian French is a sublime storyteller"" – Sunday Telegraph

My favourite character was Pom, because she is an adventurous Princess and doesn't like to be a Princess. I liked the big turtle, Alberta, because it's my favourite animal. I will definitely tell my friends about this book.

I liked this book because it was nice. It was funny and a nice story. I liked the part when the princess said "I will help you" (to find his way back from the palace) and they went on a adventure - all around the world. I would recommend this book to other boys and girls.

it's a good book but it hasn't got enough tension for me.

I like Princess Pom. The dragon is interesting because I was surprised to see the Dragon wear glassed in the kings and queens age. I recommend this to everyone.

This is a great book if you are into adventures and dragons! Princess Pom hates being a princess so she decides to run away with an orphan named Billy. If you don;t think Princesses should just sit in castles you will like this story!

You would think this book is scary but it is not, (well it can be in parts) but not really. This is a great book to get you reading and I highly recommend it for you. The person/creature that I liked the most is the dragon as you wouldn't think dragons would be friendly, and of course not think that dragon's could be... vegetarian!

I like this book but it was a bit scary. I liked it because the Dragon didn't eat princess Pom and Billy for breakfast. It was quite an adventurous and exciting story. I would recommend it.

I think the book is funny because there is a dragon that is vegetarian. Two people from different islands that are enemies come together to save the island, the gold and the dragon and made the two islands friends again. I would recommend this book to people who like adventure books.
