The Bolds are visited by Fred’s mother, Granny Imamu. She’s travelled all the way from the Serengeti, she does not approve of what she finds: hyenas, living as people! Granny Imamu starts to stir up mischief with the twins, encouraging them to get in touch with their beastly side at school.
And then the twins’ teacher comes to the Bolds with a rather unusual problem: her grown-up son Jeffrey just isn’t like other people. He’s rather hairy, doesn’t much like to talk, and loves to monkey about. If animals can become people, could it happen the other way around . . . ?

In my opinion, this book was awesome. My favourite part is when Bobby and Betty's grandma visits. I would recommend this book to anyone who is interested in animals, jokes and/or funny stories.

This was a good book because their grandma came to visit and is driving the kids crazy. My favourite character is Minnie. I would recommend this book.

I really enjoyed it as it had lots of pictures and it was really funny! My favourite characters were Hector the pigeon and Mrs Bold. I would definitely recommend it to other people, especially children like me.

I really liked this book because it had two monkeys in it - one normal and one chimpanzee - and the hyenas were very funny, especially Mr Bold. His job is making jokes for Christmas crackers!
