Wildspark: A Ghost Machine Adventure
Vashti Hardy
In Medlock, a secretive guild of inventors have brought spirits of
the dead back into the world, harnessing them in animal-like machines.
Young Prue has joined as an apprentice, but she’s on a mission
of her own: to bring her brother back to life. To find him,
she needs to get the ghost machines to remember the people they
used to be.
Reviews

Little character development, but otherwise richly imagined and an interesting read. I would not recommend it as an exciting book though. It falls a bit flat.

this book is brilliant! it is full of mystery and adventure and lots of 'what will they do?' moments. it is also about friendships and working out who to trust. i would recommend this book to children age 8-11 who like stories about fictional inventions and futuristic stories.

Only just started, but it already sounds like a great book

Wow - this is a really good story but I did feel sorry for Prue because she had a really hard decision to make about keeping her brother as a second lifer. It sounds like a good school and I think I wold like to go there. I liked it too that all the characters were different but in the end they know how to make good choices. I liked Prue but she had to work hard and make difficult choices. I'm glad I don't have to do that! Yes, it is a good book and I'm reading it again already and I want her other books for my birthday!

This book is absolutely amazing and I recommend it to people who like fiction, twists in the story line and machines. It is about a girl called Prue who sets out on a quest to get her dead brother back. She tries to bring him back as a personifate, a ghost in a mechanical body, but not everything goes to plan… I loved this book- 5/5!
