This book is about two men who traveled around the world in 80 days. I thought that this book was interesting because they encountered many interesting things and animals in their one in a lifetime adventure. This book also shows that without teamwork, everything is more difficult.

This book was quite good and had a lot of surprises. Mr Phileas Fogg and his servant ,Passpartout, made the journey around the world. They were trying to make the trip in 80 days so Phileas Fogg would win a wager of 20,000 pounds. A robbery of 55,000 pounds had also been committed around the time that the master and servant set off and Phileas Fogg matched the exact description of the robber .A detective named Fix followed them around the world for this reason. On this trip they also rescued an Indian lady called Aouda. She was a Parsee princess and her husband died and therefore said that she should sacrifice her life. However, Passpartout jumped in and saved her. If you knew what every single word's meaning in this book then this could be one of the greatest books in the world but I did not. My favourite character is Phileas Fogg because, no matter what the situation, he would always stay calm even though half of his life's savings were at risk. Also, it was fiction but had lots of geographical facts as well.

William read the early reader version based on this book. The best bit was at the end when they got married. He likes Phyllis Fogg best. He would recommend it.
