A contemporary countryside tale about the power of friendship and creativity, from the nation’s favourite children’s author.

A beautiful countryside story for Michael Morpurgo fans, illustrated by Olivia Lomenech Gill (J. K. Rowling’s Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them). Bonny has always wanted to be a top cyclist, maybe even a future Olympic champion. But her world changes after meeting a sculptor named Lizzie, who gives her a job on her farm. Bonny is introduced to a life-sized sculpture of Lizzie’s horse and is allowed to pose as its rider, a completely magical experience. She learns from Lizzie that a true gift is never to be wasted, and that if you ""breathe the world in deep"", you can do anything.

I absolutely loved every second of the book. I was first interested when I saw the front cover because I adore horses and to see a little girl around my age who looks slightly like me was quite cool so I wanted to see what it was all about. I personally found that it is really good for children aged about 8+.

This is a book about Bonny who is a fast cyclist and wants to cycle in the Olympics. She meets some horses in the Yorkshire Dales and sees them every time she cycles. Their owner dies and the horses have a risky future. I enjoyed reading it.

I really liked this book because there was a girl called Bonnie who loved cycling but one day cycled up to an old lady's farm and was given a job mucking out the horses, and then loved sculpting art

This story brightened me up! It made me feel like I was there in that scene. The story easily developed my emotions. This is a fiction book. My favourite character was a girl named Bonny. I will definitely recommend this book to someone who loves horses and bike-riding.

This book was a bit dull and sad because the description at the end it was like it was ghost town completely deserted and also because one of the characters dies. Bonny is a girl in the story,I like her determination to achieve her dream

This book is a moving tale about the friendship between a young girl and a sculptor who teaches her that when you discover your gift, you should never waste it. The story is complimented by beautiful illustrations and I think any young person who dreams of becoming an artist would find this book inspiring. But a word of warning, a box of tissues would be handy.

I think that Michael Morpurgo is a great author but he writes quite tricky words. Also it a sad bit near the end of story. But I still think that children should read this book.
