An Anty-War Story
Tony Ross
The only ant with his own name, Douglas is born into the wonderful Antworld and dreams of one day joining the line to hunt out food. But his superiors have other plans for him: Douglas is to be a soldier. They tell him his job is all about parading, waving flags and wearing a uniform, but Douglas is about to discover that there is no glory in war. A humbling perspective on the First World War from master-storyteller Tony Ross. Didn’t like the sad ending

It was really great, except for the part at the end when one of the ants turned into the soldier and other human soldiers stopped on their land and killed them.

This book was about an ant who wanted to carry food, but instead he was a soldier. This book tells you that ants are really easy to squish!
