The brilliantly funny fourth book in the SAM WU series, starring the bravest scaredy-cat in the world! Perfect for reluctant readers and fans of Tom Fletcher, Pamela Butchart and
Humza Arshad’s Badman.

Sam Wu is NOT afraid of anything. Well, maybe some things. Like ghosts, sharks … the dark’s pretty worrying too. And not to mention SPIDERS! But Sam’s not going to let anyone know. And so when Tulip, the school tarantula, disappears from her cage, Sam decides it’s up to him and his friends to save the school from the eight-legged escapee … Common childhood fears dealt with in a hilarious, sensitive and accessible way. Also by Katie and Kevin Tsang:

Katie and Kevin Tsang met in in 2008 while studying at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Since then they have lived on three different continents and travelled to over 40 countries together. They currently live in London. Kevin was born in Copenhagen and grew up in Atlanta, Georgia. Some of Sam Wu’s experiences are based on Kevin’s childhood (he’s feeling much more confident now). Katie was born and raised in Southern California. She has previously worked at Booktrust, the UK’s largest children’s reading charity, and also writes YA fiction as Katherine Webber.

Very funny book , Sam claimed not to be afraid of spiders but once there is one he is very much afraid and cannot hide it

This was a fiction book, and there are lots of other stories about Sam Wu. This book was a bit scary as I’m not sure if I like spiders! I would tell my friends to read this book.

Sam Wu and his friends over came their fear and were confident and didn’t give up to overcome their fears of spiders. They showed bravery. They found a Tarantula which could kill a bird, it went on the loose and Sam Wu ended up finding the spider.

It is an adventure story where Sam Wu is not afraid of spiders. But the dilemma comes when he meets a tarantula named Tulip. I liked how Sam Wu overcomes his fear with bravery. I would recommend this book.

I can't believe the spider was let loose but Sam eventually found it! The Spider was called Tulip! I think you should defiantly read the book.

This book is really silly like Lucy bringing butterbut to school and Sam,Zoe and Benard putting honey on the floor at school and giant tarantular loose at school. So if you are on the scared of spider side do not read this at night.

It was a quick and short book to read but I like how all the different books are linked. Because of this it's better to read them in order. My favourite part is when they were all panicking in the store cupboard and were locked in!

You don't really get involved in the story that much although you learn lots of facts about spiders which is cool but lots of tricky word just to do with spiders so i found it hard to read and i am 8,

1. it was really good because the arther that made the book put tarantula in it. 2. I liked Sam wu because he was quite brave to be afraid of tarantulas. I also liked the school because they let him trap the spider with the honey
