McTavish (3) – McTavish Takes the Biscuit
Meg Rosoff, Grace Easton, David Shephard
McTavish has his eyes on the pies as he returns with the Peachey family for another hilarious middle-grade adventure from the multi-award-winning Meg Rosoff.
The Peachey family enjoy fine meals each night now that everyone takes turns cooking. Everyone, that is, except grumbling Pa Peachey – until some unsatisfactory bread pushes him to try baking. Convinced that he has found his true calling, Pa sets his sights on winning the town Bake Off. Unfortunately, his great ideas far surpass his skills, and soon Pa’s ambitions are crumbling under the weight of 3,784 pieces of gingerbread … McTavish smells disaster in the making, and it looks like he’s going to have to save the day – again.Reviews

I liked that McTavish was a rescue dog and that he had rescued his family from Pa Peaches horrible meals.

I thought this book was very funny and surprising it made me want to bake. My favourite character was betty she was very kind to McTavish and she was a good backer. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes backing.

What an amazing story. From disasters to achievements, it was unexpected. I was like, I can’t wait until the end, when Pa peachey entered the baking competition that was really exciting. Pa peachey felt confident when Mctabish was by his side No the heat on whether they will win the bake off worth reading. I would recommend this book to someone it was extremely exciting as I was when I finished it.
