I thought this book was really good because it had loads of lighthouse mysteries. I liked the girl because they describe her as ''in the background' 'but she gradually gets to be in the spotlight

Our Castle by the Sea is set in World War II and is also an intriguing mystery. My favourite character is Pet (Petra) because she is such an easy character to connect to and understand. She also appreciates nature just like I do and is an amazing artist. Also, her mum's German, so she can speak it, and as I can speak it too it makes the ability to know her much easier. I would definitely recommend this book to 8-14 year olds who love historical fiction, mystery, and a bit of sadness and fear rolled into one. It also includes easy to relate to family conversations. Five stars!

I liked how the author, Lucy, related this story to war as well as horror because the war made it more dramatic. My favourite part was when Petra found that Mrs Baron and Michael Baron were helping the enemy team in war. Petra was really brave.
