It’s time to welcome new girls to Malory Towers, the famous boarding school by the sea, in four brand-new stories by outstanding authors, set in Enid Blyton’s much-loved school.

YA and Waterstones Book Prize-winner Patrice Lawrence introduces us to proud Marietta with her magnificent head of braided hair. A dormitory argument reveals something unusual about Marietta, and something equally unexpected about Alicia.

In Guardian and Stylist columnist Lucy Mangan’s story, student librarian Evelyn is wary of her lively, lacrosse-playing classmates. When one of them becomes a regular visitor to the hushed domain of the library, can Evelyn really trust her?

Sunita Sharma joins Malory Towers surrounded by a sense of mystery, in Narinder Dhami’s fabulous story. But is Sunita really as glamorous as Gwendoline imagines?

In Rebecca Westcott’s heartwarming story, Darrell and friends fear the worst when spoilt Gwendoline’s cousin joins the school. But Maggie is very different from her stuck-up relative . . .

A great collection of classic stories. I liked it because in each story the characters stayed the same, except for one new girl joining the school, that had their own new character. They kept the personality of each character the same so as you move through the book, you get to know more and more. I would recommend this to children in KS2.

I thought this book was creative. I think that Maggie must have been trying to settle in but she found it difficult and Gwen didn't make things easier for her. The bookworm story was good. I can't believe Alicia was afraid of losing Darrel. I mean, when you look at it that way Alicia was only trying to get Darrel back. Sunita was an amazing scientist. She definitely took after her famous father. Sunita was also super good to be able to own up for something that she didn't do. Gwen was so mean to set up the potion and the crystals. Circus Marrieta finally settled in when all the girls showed their kindness (excpet Gwendoline, of course). I don't really have a faviroute charcter unless I can say one from each book. Maggie was my faviroute charcter in that book because at the end she settled in really well. Mary-Lou was my faviroute charcter in the bookworm because although she wasn't the main charcter she helped with the trick for Alicia and I found her really encouraging. My faviroute charcter in the Sunita story was Sunita because she was so kind to the other girls and she even owned up for the trick even though Gwen did it. My faviroute charcter in the Marrieta story is Alicia beause she cut her own hair just to say sorry. I reccomend this book to everyone as it is so creative.

I enjoyed the story about the princess pupil, because Gwen was up to mischief & she got paid back by having to do extra French at half term. The bookworm story was my favourite because I liked that Darrell got to enjoy books. I love reading books!
