Meet two friends at the beach in this charming seaside story from the brilliant Julia Donaldson and Lydia Monks, creators of What the Ladybird Heard.

With funny rhyming verse, bright and distinctive illustrations, Sharing a Shell is loved by children and parents alike – perfect for reading together!

When Crab finds a new shell, he doesn’t want to share it with anyone – especially not a blobby purple anemone and a tickly bristleworm. But life in the rock pool proves tougher than Crab thinks and he soon finds he needs his new housemates.

‘Sunny story . . . clear characterful pictures and jolly verse for reading out loud’ – Independent

I thought this book was good because there was a blob and it shared a shell. and the little brush thing came and shared the shell with the crab and the blob. I liked the illustrations.

It has lots of bright colours and I like the anemone in the story because she had lots of tentacles. I would recommend this book to all of my friends because it’s a story based on the beach and I live near the beach.

Love this one. Chose to read it today because it reminded me of the holiday we've just been on where we went looking for shells and saw some with creatures in them.
