I like how Max prefers magic over knight training. It is very relatable to me. His frog spell is also impressive and the book makes me urge to read more! Definitely recommend!

Max wants to be a wizard, not a squire and is trying to make a spell for the Novices Spell-Making Competition but it doesn't quite go to plan. He accidently invents Frogspell which turns him, his sister Olivia and her pet dragon into brightly colored frogs!! Max finally wins the completion but along the way he meets Merlin, rescues a prince and meets a very powerful and dangerous sorceress. I can't wait to read the next book.

Brilliant book. I loved Adolphus the Dragon and Ferocious the rat! It was really funny sometimes too.
