The Climbers
Ali Standish, Alette Straathof
Lonely Alma longs to explore the lush forest beyond her narrow town, but her uncle has told her it’s full of fearsome beasts. One night, she ventures into the trees and finds a frightened bear cub. The two become friends but the rest of the town is not so welcoming. Soon, Alma and Star Bear are forced to set off in search of a place to call home.
A lyrical tale about a tender friendship that triumphs over fear, with colour illustrations on every page.

It is a book about a girl who raised a bear and went with it to the forest because the people in her village were afraid of the bear. there he also met a boy with a tiger and a wolf. It is a very interesting book, I recommend it to everyone who loves animals like me.

The book was a bit too youngish for me. I think it would be better for a child who is 5 or 6.

I liked the climbers because they were rescuing animals but what I didn't like was that in each place there were people trying to kill the animals, luckily the animals all escaped and found somewhere new to live. My favourite character was Comet the tiger.
