A brave and bold new picture book by Matt Carr, perfectly timed
for the 50th anniversary of the first moon landing.

Meet the mole on a mission! Armstrong the star-nosed mole doesn’t dig living underground. His friends think building a rocket to go to the moon, alone, is an astronomically bad idea, but Armstrong is determined to boldly go where no mole has gone before. On the moon, Armstrong bounces around in his space suit, but soon starts to miss his cautious mole mates. How can a mole with big dreams have it all: adventure AND friendship?

I like everything about this book! Armstrong is very clever and builds his own rocket. He teaches his friends that anything is possible.

Amazing because he goes to space and because his name is Armstrong, the same as the first person on the moon. The best bit was when he got on the moon.

Lieutenant Cornelius Bacon-slicer 05.08.2021

I loved this book because he was the first mole on the moon! His name was Armstrong and the first man on the moon was Neil Armstrong. I think he was the first mole to go to the moon because he has a star on his nose!
