Dancing the Charlston is a brilliant book for children the age of 8 and above. My favourite character was Mr. Benjamin because he is always so kind.

I like Mona because she is caring. I don’t like Aunty because she doesn’t tell Mona about her being her mother

Amazing

I love the fact that the author writes about her own childhood and has put some of that in this story. There are so many different plot twists with friends falling out and then becoming friends again and there are so many different life lessons in the story too about animal cruelty and poverty, some to a younger age who don't understand but the older ones do and get more from the book. I would 100% reccomend it's a book to start getting into reading. I liked the grandma character because she like lost her job but kept fighting to get another job and making clothes.

This book was great and I would recommend it to my friend Isabelle because I think she would find it very funny. If I were to be a character I would be Mona because sometimes I get in arguments with my friends and I probably would try out for a posh grammar school. I loved the part when Mona finds out she Is a Somerset and her Aunty tells her she is her mom.

the book is very interesting when you read especially the ending. I thought that the ending as very touching when Mona's aunt reveals the secret. I would like Marcella the best. it interested me because the character is in a good place in the story. Yes.

I absolutely loved this dazzling tale of glitz and glamour! set in the 1920s, Dancing The Charleston is a fabulous story about a girl living with her aunt near a great country manor. my favourite characters are Mona, Sixpence, Maggie and Mittens. They are brilliant characters and all felt so real to me!

This book was very good. I rated it 4 because I’m not a fan of how a character from another book by Jacqueline Wilson was included in this one. My favourite character was probably Mona. It was rather exciting and surprising when mona finds out that her aunt is actually her mother. This book is based on the past. I would recommend it to children aged 8-11. It is so much better than it sounds. I loved it.

I really enjoyed reading this book because it was exciting and made me want to read more. I enjoyed hearing about all the adventures with the summerset family and Mona learning the Charleston . I would definitely recommend this book to someone else.
