The final book in The Trapdoor Mysteries, a series about Tally, a code-breaking, animal-loving girl and her best friend, a squirrel named Squill, who solve mysteries with the help of a secret library... Tally was once a servant girl at Mollett Manor - as well as the Secret Keeper of the magical library hidden underneath the manor's grounds. Along with Squill the squirrel, she used the enchanted books in the library to solve crimes. Then Tally finds out a secret about her past, her entire life changes. Suddenly she's travelling aboard a huge ship on her way to New York to try and find her mother. When valuable items go missing from passengers' cabins on the ship, everyone expects Tally to be able to catch the culprit. But will Tally be able to solve the mystery without the magic of the Secret Library?

I really enjoyed this book and I think anyone aged 6 - 50 would enjoy it too because it is a very joyful book showing that anyone can do anything if they try. It explains everything very well and even if you haven`t read book 1,2 and 3 you`ll understand what sorts of things happened before. My favourite character is Tally because she is very kind and curious.

I thought it was exciting. I kept reading it! It was fiction and my favourite character was Tally ( Tallulah). She was the one who solved all the mysteries and found the trapdoor, witch lead to a Secret Library. Lots of books told her instructions on how to make things to catch the Thief in the night and who stole the amulet ( the Egyptian amulet). She lost her Mum as she fell off a cliff. Turns out she survived the fall and got a job as a doctor at the New York City Museum. It was interesting because it says that a dog hair is about 25 micrometers but a child can have hairs of around 50 micrometers. Yes I would recommend it to a friend.

I like this book because Tally is a really well behaved girl that is on a journey to find her mother. At the end she finds her mother and fixes thief problems on the way.

I really liked the main character, Tally, and her pet squirrel, Squill. I liked the mystery to solve and I enjoyed guessing the clues. It was fiction. I would recommend it to someone who likes mysteries and solving puzzles. I like that Tally lives in a large manor house but I don't like that she sleeps in a sink and the housekeeper is mean to her. I am looking forward to the other books in the series.

I really loved this book/series. I loved the characters, setting and storyline. Tally is a really cool and good main character as she is clever and thoughtful. Squill is amazing, the illustrations bring it to life and I enjoyed solving the mystery. As this was the last book in the series I wanted it to go on. This was probably my favourite on because it was different and was similar to a Agatha Christie that I have watched (Murder in the Nile)
