The graphic novel adaptations of the #1 New York Times bestselling Wings of Fire series continue to set the world on fire! Peril has been loyal to Queen Scarlet, who used her fatal firescales to kill countless dragons in the SkyWing arena. Now, Peril is loyal to Clay, the only dragonet who has ever been her friend. So when Scarlet threatens Jade Mountain Academy, Peril sets off to find her former queen, stop her, and save the day, no matter what it takes. There’s just one problem: a strangely persistent SeaWing, Turtle, insists on coming along, too. Turtle is worried about his friends, who left to search for Scarlet and haven’t returned. Peril is worried that she might accidentally burn Turtle – or burn him on purpose, for being so annoying – and frustrated that she keeps saying and doing the wrong things. She can’t escape her firescales, and she can’t escape her reputation as the deadliest dragon in Pyrrhia. So when she’s offered a chance to trade everything for a new life, Peril has to decide who she’s really loyal to … and whether her own scales might actually be worth saving. The #1 New York Times bestselling Wings of Fire series soars to new heights in the eighth graphic novel adaptation, with art by Mike Holmes.   An epic dragon fantasy series for 9+ readers With vibrant and captivating illustrations by Mike Holmes, this is a one-of-a-kind reading experience The Wings of Fire series has been a New York Times bestseller

Escaping Peril is a fictional story set in the world of Pyrrhia. It was very interesting to see the mindset and thoughts of Peril which was only touched on in book 6 (moon rising). It dives deeper into the thickining plot line and on her backstory too. I would recomend it to other Wings Of Fire fans aswell as enjoyers of fanasy and adventure books.

Peril is one of the best dragons and firescales are cool. Although I do want to read without the book going up in flames!

This is in the same series as the last two books I logged on. I am puzzled as to why book 8 is on your list, but not my last two, 6+7. But the book is great!

I like how peril just wants to do the right thing but always gets caught up with other stuff, the plot twist at the end is really exiting

I was amazed how her father was using something animus touched to enchant things. But Peril had fire every were on her body coming from the inside of her because she sucked all the fire power out of her brother. I highly recommend this book.

This is an awesome book about the adventures of a misunderstood dragonet with firescales named Peril. Other dragons think that she is dangerous because of her firescales and no one ever goes near her. She doesn't want to harm anybody , she just wants to make friends. But no one likes her because she used to be Queen Scarlet's ally and used to do her evil bidding. No one believes her when she tells them that she has changed and doesn't do Scarlet's bidding any more. So she sets of on an quest to find Queen Scarlet and kill her to show everyone that she isn't bad any more.
