Lyla lives in a world of robocats, flying sweets and instant snow, but some things never change. Little brothers are still annoying, school teachers make you cringe, and, when your best friend deserts you for the new girl, it still HURTS. Especially when that new girl is from the Moon. But Lyla's problems lead her into unexpected adventures . . .

Reviews

The title of this book is A Moon Girl Stole my Friend. The author of this book is Rebecca Patterson. The story is about two girls - Lyla and Bianca. They live in the year 2099. Bianca is Lyla's best friend but she she doesn't invite Lyla to her party. Instead of Lyla she invites Petra Lumen who is a new girl in their school. Petra is very mean to Lyla and she even bullies her. Bianca takes Petra as her best friend and Lyla is left out. Do you think Lyla can get her best friend back? The main characters in the story are- Lyla, Petra and Bianca. My favourite character in the story is Lyla. Even though Bianca leaver her and goes with Petra she doesn't give up hope and she still helps then in many ways. I liked this book a lot as the way the author explains the problem and makes certain parts funny is really amazing. My favourite part of the book was when Lyla rescued the girls who were so mean to her. I would like to recommend this book to all the people who like fun and unexpected twists in the tale.

I loved this book because it is about the future and it has so many ideas about future inventions and space travel. My favourite character is Lyla Hastings because the story is told from her perspective and she's a sensitive eleven year old girl. I would recommend it to girls who like science fiction because it also has a lot of girls growing up and relationships in it.

I have enjoyed this book it's about a moon girl who joined a school and stole someones best friend it was sad at times. The book is based in the future so it was fun to imagine driving in the sky and not on the ground.
