A warm, uplifting story for young readers about a boy and his dog and the power of music to heal; a first-time collaboration from two Irish Children’s Laureates.

Patrick has been desperate for a dog of his own for as long as he can remember – and this summer, with his father away, he longs for a buddy more than ever. In his short doggy life, Oz has suffered at the hands of BAD PEOPLE. Somewhere out there, he believes, is an AWESOME BOY – his BOY. Maybe when they find each other he will learn to BARK again…

I really like this book because it shows how a dog is so shy and he has had terrible back story and that he is very shy to a new boy and has even lost his bark! My favourite person is Patrick, the nice boy. I would recommend

I really like this book because it shows us that, even if we are different it doesn’t mean that we should be treated badly! Also I recommend this book to everyone, as it warms your heart and teaches you kindness.

This is a great book. I liked it because the story tells how the dog lost his bark after being mistreated by its owners but found it again when new kinder owners loved him.

I think it was sweet, and I enjoyed the happy ending. My favourite character was OZ, the dog as he was very intelligent and cute. I liked it when sometimes the author wrote some text from Oz' s point of view. Although the beginning was a bit sad.

This book started off sad but by the middle of the book it got happier. The book was fiction and my favourite character was the dog who was called Oz. Oz was such a funny dog because he was able to whine and howl music tunes. I would 100% recommend this book to everyone.

I loved reading this book. Even though my favourite animal is a dog this is the only book so far that I enjoyed about a dog. I loved it how first it was a sad story then it turned to be a happy Storie for quite a while then suddenly again it turned to be a sad story and last just because of Os (the dog) it was a very happy ending. I loved this book so much. It was out of the moon that is how much I loved it. As I said this is the only dog book I have enjoyed that was because all the other dog books I have read only gone way which is happy but this one as I said went Sad Happy Sad Happy. My favourite character was the Os (the dog) because when Patrick wouldn't talk he did the same what Patrick did to get Os out of the cage . I would recommend this to every one that loves dog of just likes dogs. If you love dogs you will love this book. It is an OUTSTANDING BOOK. If you are going to have a dog that has been bad treated in the pass badly this book will tell you what to do. It might not help but it can.
