This book is a bit scary. Maybe 10% scary. If you like adventurous books, then this book is for you.

The wooden mile is very adventurous and makes you want to read more. It is the first book in a series called Something wickedly weird.

This book is about a boy called Stanley Bubbles who goes to Crampton Rock on holidays but ends up with a gang of pirates finishing off a werewolf that haunts the town.

it begins normally when all of a sudden stanley is fighting werewolves surrounded by pirates and hanging off cliffs, and it all happened in the summer holidays.

I think that this book should be for 9 and over, because of some of the words and also because of the story line. My favourite part in the book is, near the end when unfortunately Stanley Buggles has to go home and he speaks to a pike once more and finds an incredible piece of jewellry wanted by all pirates aroud the world! This book is a defenite 4*.....
