When Lizzie's school gets a new head teacher everything seems great. The pupils are encouraged to do the things they really love, experts are brought in to inspire them; there's even a competition to win an adventure trip of a lifetime. Lizzie and her friends can't believe their luck! But then Lizzie hears a voice. A voice strange but familiar. A voice that says, 'I will obey all your instructions.' And that's when things start to get dangerous. . . Fast-paced and action-packed adventure, written by the award-winning Gillian Cross.

I would say 4 stars , slow build up ( like, really slow ) ,but completely worth it! One thing, read The Demon Headmaster: Total Control first, or it might get confusing very fast!

This book is quite confusing and long. I did enjoy it, but I didn’t like it when it changed subjects so much. My least favourite character was Lizzie because she was boring. I wouldn’t really recommend it to anyone.

Quite an extraordinary book! I love the new teacher, she is my favorite character with all the competitions; wish that was what school actually was like! However, I didnt expect the children to go to an island and i wouldn't want to go to one. The demon headmaster clearly shows how it is dangerous to go on an island. Overall, the author really put some imagination in this book.

This book was very thrilling. I was quite scared at times, begging my mum to read more! I loved it though and I think if you don't mind an exhilarating cliffhanger at the end, then this book is perfect.
