Hamish’s summer isn’t going as planned.
First, his parents left him to go on a business trip to Japan, and now he’s found himself stuck in the Scottish highlands with an aunt he’s never met, a grumpy girl called Izzy, and a lot of animals.

This is one of my favourite books! I’m into animal books especially dogs and elephants. I was a bit sad when it was the end as I wanted it go on so I’m hoping Megan Rix will write a part two for it. I would totally recommend it for the people who loves dogs or animals!

It’s about a boy named Hamish who has to go to a animal sanctuary and helps a puppy and piglet and he teaches Rusty the pig how to sit and meets a cow called peaches and then named its calf custard

I liked it because the main character, Hamish, his grandmother was running an animal sanctuary and I want to run an animal sanctuary when I am older. Hamish made a float for a parade to raise money for the sanctuary. They made loads of money and it was able to stay open, At the end a pig and three dogs were adopted.

I loved the book because it was about animals. My favourite character was Mishka because he saved a dog at the dead of night. He adopted a piglet and saved a cow. He was very funny.

This book was one of the best books I have ever read! Issy was my favourite character. The middle to the end was so exciting. All the dogs were seemed so cute. I recommend this book for readers who love animals.
