The Dog that Saved Christmas
Nicola Davies, Mike Byrne
The heart-warming tale of one boy and the dog that changes his life from a much loved and award-winning author.
Jake is different from the other kids at school. He struggles when routines change and people’s emotions are so hard to understand. Christmas can be even worse and often the festivities are just too much to bear. But when Jake finds a little dog lost in the street he unlocks a connection he’s never had before. Together Jake and Susan form a special bond that helps him to understand the world around him, changing his life for the better. Particularly suitable for struggling, reluctant or dyslexic readers aged 8+Reviews

I liked that the boy had autism and the dog helped him like Christmas. It was really exciting because I never thought that the woman who had the dog would give it to Jake. It took a while to think this book was good. After the first chapter I gave it 0 stars but after the last chapter I gave it 5 stars. I am glad I stuck with it. I would recommend this book to someone with autism or someone who likes dogs.
