A captivating, curl-up-on-the-sofa debut about the magic of books and the power of the imagination.

Since her mother’s disappearance, eleven-year-old Tilly has found comfort in stories at Pages & Co., her grandparents’ bookshop. But when her favourite characters, Anne of Green Gables and Alice from Wonderland, appear in the shop, Tilly’s adventures become very real. Not only can she follow Anne and Alice into their thrilling worlds, she discovers she can bookwander into any story she chooses. Tilly’s new ability could even help her solve the mystery of what happened to her mother all those years ago. But danger may be lurking on the very next page…

I really enjoyed how the author had made it different as Tilly's parents (Tilly is the main character) doesn't have parents YET but instead have her grandparents as her dad and mum disappeared when Tilly was young. I liked how Tilly is magical but normal at the same time. I would definetely recommend this book to anyone who likes mysteries and magic and books. I rate this a 10/10

This is a really fun, adventurous book. My favourite character is Tilly since she is a bookwanderer, and also Oskar, because he is always by Tilly's side. It is funny and fascinating! There are some amazing quotes in this one too!

my best friend recommended this book to me. I would give this book a 10 if I could! Tilly is a curious adventurer and I wish I could meet Alice in wonderland too. they all seem like such fun characters and living in a bookshop would mean having all the books in the world! My favourite character is jack because his pastries sound delish! it's just a very thrilling and exciting book

It was brilliant!! The settings were described beautifully and I loved all the plot twists and moments of peril. So exciting! :) I recommend this story to book lovers from 9 to 14 - there is a lot to understand throughout the book and it needs a skilled reader to take it all in.
