This book one my favourite book written by Jeff Kinney. My favourite character is Rodrick he had the most fun but not much because he got sunburnt I would recommend this book.

I thought this was a great book but not one of my favourites. I think the best book I've read is "the beast of Buckingham palace". I would recommend this book for a 4 rating because its not as funny as the other ones. xxx

My favourite character in the book was Greg. He was the only one in his family that wanted to stay at home for Christmas but the rest of the family wanted to go on holiday to a hot place. He didn't like all the bugs going on his food & the spiders kept chasing him in the bathroom! I recommend this book.

My best bit about the book was how the dad was so sick of being in the cold weather at winter, they went on holiday to a very sunny place. I also liked how Gregs mum thought a gang of boys were going fishing because they had fishing rods when they were actually not going fishing! Lots of teenagers were firing gross things!

I liked Greg best. Some parts of the book I could relate to. My favourite part was when Greg caught the spider because the waiter was to scared to do it himself.

IT was a bit gross about the spiders an the kissing but then again I liked it. It was funny about the bit with the monkey at the bar but the story about was very sad exept at the end. Favourite charater is Greg Hefly. 6-10 year olds might like it
