The Girl with the Shark's Teeth
Cerrie Burnell (, London, England)
Minnow is different from the other girls in her town and there’s plenty to set her apart: the blossom of pale scars which lie beneath Minnow’s delicate ears, the fact that she has an affinity with the water which leaves people speechless, and that once – she is sure – in deep, deep water, her body began to glow like a sunken star.
When her mum gets into trouble and is taken from their boat in the dead of night, Minnow is alone with one instruction: sail to Reykjavik to find your grandmother, she will keep you safe. Minnow has never sailed on her own before, but the call of the deep is a call she’s been waiting to answer her whole young life.
Perhaps a girl who is lost on land can be found in the Wild Deep.
The stunning middle grade debut from Cerrie Burnell

It was fiction. I liked Minow the best because she is brave and will do anything to find her mama.I would recommend it to someone else who likes fantasy books.

I really liked this exciting book. It was about a girl called Minnow who is a girl who is part shark. She has to journey to a underwater land called the wild deep to save her mum from mermaid hunters. My favourite character was Minnow. This is my last book in my reading challenge 2023 and it was a good finish!! I'd reccomend this book to people who like magic and adventure. I'd give this book 5 stars

At the beginning of the book, I didn't really enjoy it but now that I have read more, I find it a really nice book. A part I liked was when Raife was told he has the Wild Deep in his blood; it sent chills down my spine. I would recommend this to lots of people, especially lovers of fantasy!

This book was very fascinating as it was about a girl with shark's teeth who is the gatekeeper of the wild deep. She has to rescue her mother from sea hunters who wanted her mother to lead them to mermaids. It is a fictional tale and my favourite character from the book is Minnow who is the titular character because she managed to sail from the west coast of the Atlantic all the way to the capital of Iceland by herself. I also liked Candlelight the half fish and half man who owns the wild deep. I would recommend the book to advanced readers as it uses a very small font and uses a challenging vocabulary.

This book was okay - it was quite interesting just not a series I’d read again. That might just be me though because I’m very fussy with the books I read!

Very interesting storyline and full of mythical beings. You'll enjoy this book if you like being transported to a world within a world. Read this twice now and enjoyed both times.

It is about adventure, magic, the ocean and it is a fairytale. I would reommend it to Guinny my best friend. My favourite character is Minnow, the girl with the shark's teeth because she is one of the main sources of magic.

Great

This book is about a girl called Minnow. She loses her mama and embarks on an adventure, crossing the Wild Deep, a dangerous part of the sea to get her back. At the end, she finds out who her father is, and she is part white, part black, part human, part shark, part water, part land and belongs to two worlds. I would recommend it to anyone who believes in mermaids, which I do not, but if you do, you will know parts of it are real.
