I really like how they re-told the stories especially Rumpelstiltskin and Cinderella.

My favourite story was 'Chickenpox and Crystal or snow white and the seven dwarfs' and my favorite character was snow white who was told to be only the grandma of Sophie the Princess. I recommend this book to anyone who like fantasy tales.

I think that straw into gold is a brilliant book focusing on the morals in fairy tales featuring Cinderella, The princess and the pea, Rumpelstiltskin, the twelve dancing princesses, The pied piper of Hamelin, The swan brothers, Hansel and Gretel, Snow White and Red Riding hood. I can't decide on a favorite character because there is a lot of people to choose on. I would definitely recommend this to others

Outstanding , exquisite book ! Amazing illustrations and Hilary Mckay has used old stories and have made them new . My favourite person in the book is Fraulein Angelika Maria because her reactions in the books have been explained so beautifully . I would definitely recommend this book to someone else because it deserves a place in everyone's book shelf . You have to read this book if you haven't !

The best story was 'What I did in the holidays and why Hansel's jacket is so tight (by Gretel, aged 10) or Hansel and Gretel because it was funny. I would recommend it.

This is amazing! Every chapter has a new rewritten famous fairy tale and they are better than the original! I liked every person but my favourite tale was chickenpox and crystal (it definitely is a weird name but if you read it then you will get it) which is a remake of snow white and the seven dwarves. I would recommend this to anyone who loves fairy tales or someone who likes stories twisted and adjusted. Yours sincerely, The reader
