This story is about a pug who rocked the boat. When lady miranda and her friends where playing soccer the ball accidentally landed in pug's eye. They took him to the vets immediatly. Since his eye was hurt they put a eyepatch on him. He looked like a pirate. Lad miranda got a pirate hat so he could look like a real pirate. Meanwhile, there were some mean boys who were throwing stones at the parrot. He then ran away. The parrot pug and his friends gathered around the city hall . there was this special chain that the mayor wore and if she doesn't wear it there is a legend that the finders keepers will return again and rule the beach. Tomorrow was the day the beach was freed from pirate rule. The mean boys threw stones at the parrot again. he then ran away. whoever get the chain first will be mayor for a day. pug then found against the mean boys and became mayor for the day. Even though the mean boys were mean to pug they were touched by pugs kindness by pulling them out of the quicksand . Pug did lots of good things like; the prize for the best dressing up and prizes for the best fisherman and women in town. Pug finally had a nap and then lady miranda and pug returned home from their holiday to the beach.

its a funny book with big words making it easier for younger children to read and it has a lot of pictures. it was fiction and my favourite person was pug. the reason it interested me is because the cover of the book was very colorful and had lots of different fonts i would recommend it to my friends because they all love anything thats funny and they like the ocean

I really like the book, my favourite character is Pug because I love pugs, he is very funny. I would definitely recommend this book especially people who like Pugs.

There was a girl with a dog who went to the beach and the dog got hit in the eye with the beachball. And they gave him an eyepatch and they braught pirate hats, and dressed a dog as a pirate. I would recommend this book to everyone.
