I liked Beowulf because of how brave he is. It interested me because the book teaches us that even if you are wearing armour or not you should always believe in yourself.

I read a slightly different version of this story on my school Bug Club. It was cool to learn of the battle between Beowulf and Grendel. I liked the action and how Grendel wanted a peaceful life but the Danes kept ruining it.

I didn't like it because the monster killed children and other people. Mummy opinion - This book is a bit to graphic for a children's story located in the young children's corner. Would recommend it is moved to the where there is an age range of at least 7+.
