My favourite character was Alfie. I enjoyed it when Alfie discovered there was humans. The animals think that the humans are destroying the sand dunes but they are not. I would not recommend this book it was not that good.

I felt bad for Alfie because his sisters said to him that he wasn't a proper meerkat and that he was weird. I liked it when he had snapper and bongo to play with and he became a movie star and everyone was proud of him.
