Snail's Legs
Damian Harvey, Korky Paul
Snail is the fastest runner in the whole wood. Frog used to be faster, but now he is too old. But when the king’s chef arrives in search of the strongest legs to help him prepare a special birthday treat for the king, the two friends argue over who will have the great honour. They decide to settle the matter on a race and Snail looks like he will win easily. But he looks back to see the determination on old Frog’s face and decides to hide away and let him win. Frog is declared the champion with the best legs in the kingdom. However, one question still remains. What is the chef going to DO with Frog’s legs?

This book was ok. I liked the colourful pictures. There was lots to look at. I like that the frog and snail had a race and it was a bit like the hare and the tortoise. The frog got eaten at the end which wasn’t very good.

The funniest thing about this book is where the snails hide their legs.
