Roger and marry Anne are both my favourite characters. The book had a lot of feeling. It was funny how Roger got so confused about everything. I liked the the way that there is a lesson in it which is you can’t believe everything you read.

It was a fictional book, with shocking twists. For example, it turned out at the end to be the story of Cinderella! Another beautiful novel by Philip Pullman. 4 stars!

This is an adventure story with a boy called Roger. People think he is a rat monster because they saw him in the sewers. He is captured by the government and he is meant to be sentenced for being a monster. He was once a real rat but not a monster. My favourite character is Roger as he likes chewing things and he did things that made me laugh. I recommend my sister reads this book.
