An exuberant, hilarious and wildly entertaining fairy tale with a cast of characters who are good, bad and very, very ugly.

All is not well in the crumbling castle high above the mountain village of Fracture. The sorceress Lady Lamorna has her heart set on a new robe. A very expensive new robe. To get the cash she will stop at nothing, including kidnapping, blackmail and more than a little black magic. But she reckons without the heroic Gracie Gillypot, not to mention a gallant if rather scruffy prince, two chatty bats, the wickedest stepsister ever, a troll with a grudge – and some very Ancient crones.

My favourite character was Gubble. I thought the book was cool because of how much action there was.

It was really fun to read as I like reading and I have read a Vivian French book before so I know all the characters.

I thought that gubble was the funniest character of all because he got his head kicked of by lady lamora . And yes I would recomend this book to all readers.!!!

I enjoyed reading robe of skulls very much. It was extremely funny but Foyce was also extremely sneaky. I liked her ending because it was just and fair and for some weird reason I burst out laughing when I heard the name gillipot.

It's an amazing action packed book, although it is pretty small .If I wqas allowed to tell you about the book , I would ,but I do make a pretty good book spoiler , and you don't want the spoiler alert to go off ! So read this book as fast as you can and try to enjoy it ! Ps. The only thing about the book is: Gubble, cute and funny little dude.Careful, you don't want him to bite!

I like this book because Gracie changed her bad witch stepsister to a good one and saved the town.
