I like this book because Philip,DInah,Lucy-Ann and Jack meet up for spring holidays and they befriend a girl with ragged clothes,bear feet and wild,curling hair called Tassie. When they want to go up to the castle Tassie tells them about the last owner but they don't seem to worry. When Jack finds a golden eagle's nest he stays there for a few night with the others bringing food for him but one night when he can't sleep he sees signaling from a distant tower they all decided to investigate and they discover a very sinister plot. Irecommend this book to children aged 7-9

I liked this story. I liked how the characters found the girl in the wild and think its cool that she knew everywhere in the woods. It is a fiction story that I would recommend to people who like exploring.

I really enjoyed this book, I liked the eagles in it, I liked the sound of the castle and it sounds like it would be fun to explore. I like the parrot!

This was brilliant Tassie saves the day and they manage to get Bill to help. This book was really strange in a good way and I really loved it.

This was a really good book because I liked the setting in the castle. Like Jack, I am interested in eagles and would have liked being him sleeping on his own at the castle. I also thought it was funny when Philip was hiding in the suit of armour.

At the start I was unsure about the book then I read on and really enjoyed it. This is in the castle on a big hill. My favourite character in the book is the fox cub. I would really recommend this book to anyone who likes adventures and to explore.
