Goth Girl and the Sinister Symphony
Chris Riddell
There are musical goings-on and a mystery for Ada to solve in Goth Girl and the Sinister Symphony, the fourth beautifully illustrated adventure in the series from Chris Riddell, 2015–2017 Children’s Laureate and author of the Ottoline books.
Lord Goth is throwing a music festival at Ghastly-Gorm Hall, with performances from the finest composers in the land. Ada can’t wait, but it’s quite distracting when her grandmother is trying to find her father a fashionable new wife. And there’s a faun living in her wardrobe.
Worst of all, the gamekeeper Maltravers is up to no good and Ada must make sure everything goes to plan. Luckily, help is at hand – from a very interesting house guest . . .

Another great Goth Girl Book! I really liked the ending. Ada is my favourite character because she does exciting things like walking on the roof!
Madam Rapunzel Waltzer 14.08.2023

I really enjoyed goth girl and the sinister symphony because Ada is basically a princess when she is not. My favourite character is Taylor Extremely Swift because there is not one thing that I can think of, and she can't do it. I would recommend this book for others because it is a fantastic book.

It was O.K. My favourite character is Lord Goth, because I think he feels the same as Ada as he loved his wife, and now he wants to protect Ada. For all his grandeur he dearly loves Ada since she reminds him of his wife and she’s her daughter after all.

This book is about a little girl called Ada Goth. Her father is Lord Goth. Her mother died when she was very little so Ada was brought up by her dad and a couple of governesses. Ada had a very hard life at first but later on her dad married a young lady. Ada had a stepmother! I loved this book!
General Letizia Sherbet 17.08.2021

If you like fairy tale endings and mystery then this book is for you. This series of books wont make sense, so you will have to read the first one. Ada's father is being forced by his mother to find a new wife, but he finds his own in a less stressful way.
