Pattan has an amazing pumpkin… it grows BIGGER than the goats, BIGGER than the elephants, until it is as TALL as the mountains.

But can Pattan’s pumpkin save his family and all the animals when the storm-clouds burst and the waters rise?

I enjoyed this book a lot. This book reminds me of Noah's ark and James and the giant peach. Pattan grows a giant pumpkin and saves everyone and the animals by allowing them to board the pumpkin during a storm/flood, saving everyone. I recommend this book.

I loved it when he cut a hole in it and it was like a boat.

I liked the part when they were floating on the river (inside the pumpkin) and I liked the song that was sang inside the pumpkin. I also liked the bit where they built their new home.
