I would defiantly recommend this horse tale to any animal loving readers as it is a very detailed story about Alice and her pony, Secret, going on holiday to France. They were planning on competing together in a pony club competition, celebrating Festival du Cheval (Festive of the horse) but whilst they are there, they also end up saving the day on numerus occasions: when somebody goes riding out during a storm, when a film crew are filming and things keep going wrong, and many more fun times. My favourite character in this story was a boy called Finn because he seems a little quieter than some of the other children and has a very calming attitude around the horses. He was described in the book as "For the boy, who struggled with everyday life, who found school both frustrating and bewildering, who was happiest with the horses" and this seems very familiar/similar to myself, so I found it really pleasing that he was able to achieve so much and have such fun, whist understanding that at times he was finding it mentally hard.

This was a really good book! Full of horseriding, friendship, completions and problems! Alice and Secret are the best of friends but can they solve all the problems that will come there way?

I read this book as I love horses! My favourite part was when they went to France for a show because it was one of the most important shows they would ever go to. Secret is my favourite character and I would recommend this book to anybody that loves horses
