It’s pretty nippy in Edwinland and Nurbisonia. In fact, it’s the coldest winter in a hundred years! After evil Emperor Nurbison steals all his peasants’ firewood and woolly hats just because he can, they go to live with nine-year-old King Edwin in Edwinland instead. The furious emperor talks the scary Ice Folk to join him in his latest dastardly plan to make life difficult for Edwin and his new peasants, but Edwin is determined not to let Nurbison get away with it. He is a noble king, after all!
But Edwin has an extra problem to deal with – a voice of doubt in his head called Wendy Worry, who keeps telling him he’s not up to the job of being king. How can he beat Emperor Nurbison AND Wendy Worry at the same time?

I liked this book. I liked the part when Evil Emperor Nurbison made a giant snow ball to destroy Edwin's castle but it backfires when the snowball went to emperor Nurbison's castle. My favourite character was Edwin because he was smart when he dodged the snowball and the snowball went to Nurbison's castle. I would really recommend this book.

I liked this book because it was very funny and silly, And it was set in like the olden days which I like. I like Megan The Jester best because she's a juster and she's Edwin's best friend. Kind Flashypants and Emperor Nurbison castles interested me because they looked very funny and cool. I would recommend to a lot of my school friends.

This fiction book is very good for all little brave kids and I will definitely recommend it. I love all Andy Riley's books. He is one of my favourite authors. In this story I like King Edwin for using his brilliant idea in saving his people from an enormous snowball and I also like Cube, the ice cube who believed King Edwin will save his people.
