The perfect autumn story, especially for fireworks night. Filled with gorgeous illustrations. Ideal for reading together or for children who are just starting to read alone. Willow Valley is a very special place. Nestled in a hidden valley, trees of all shapes and sizes grew on the rolling green hills and pretty flowers dance in the meadows.

This was one of my favourite books I have read. It is about animals who go to school and overcome a bully.

I really liked this book because it has a really nice setting and it has a very cosy feel while you read it. If I could, I would rate it 10 out of 10.

The animals get to eat toffee apples and there were lots of them and they made a figurehead. All of the animals made figureheads. It was fun.

I was instantly transported to Willow Valley due to the wonderful descriptions. It sounded like a wonderful little place. I wish I could go to Toffe Apple night, it sounds fun. The illustrations were brilliant too. My favourite character was Digby as although he was small he had great ideas.

The animals all get together to make figure heads. Unfortunately their first attempt gets squashed by Rothwell the mean rat but they then make a dragon from wood that looks like he is breathing fire. With twigs. It looks amazing. My favourite character is Riley the mouse. Rileys group won the figure head competition so it meant that it led the first boat of the carnival. The kingfisher which is Rileys favourite. Rothwell ended up very grumpy because he did not win!

I liked this book because there was a parade with lots of different fire flies. Also there was a competition whoever had the best sculpture would be put on the boat called The Kingfisher and the three friends won.
